Good to be back again.
It has been quite some time now I'd last posted something in here. I was sort of carried away, not from trading but from writing and posting here. I'd been developing and testing strategies and systems I've so far found to be working in harmony with my trading style.
A lot has changed since my last post.
One of the major I can say is my trading platform for technical analysis. At that time back then I used MetaTrader for technical analysis. That was the best platform (least for me) with all the tools one would have needed to perform a technical analysis. Today, I use MT4, as a back-end, for my trade executions only and use TradingView, as front-end, for technical analysis. Some of the things I like about TradingView is its clean chart display; bunch of basic, advance and customized technical tools and indicators ; charts can be shared with anyone with the link and be viewed in real-time; really cool if one in networked trading; coding in Pine editor seems to be way easier than in MQL4. I haven't coded anything from the scratch but have customized some already available indicators to meet my own requirement. Something that I hadn't been able do in MQL4, I figured that out and built custom indicator in less than 15 minutes in PineEditor for TradingView.
Another main reason I enjoy TradingView today in comparison to MT4 some years back can be the fact that my strategies today encompass the least technical indicators. At the beginning (way back around 2006), this is regarding to all those fancy indicators and signals we can see in the market up for sell, I came to a very wise saying "When you are ready, you can make money simply with help of Moving Averages" . By then I was like, really, is that possible (with more of excitement than of an attitude of it is not possible). And after all these years, it seems to be true. I will not announce what stage I myself am today, I let you figure that out some time, but this sure is a cycle of progress of a successful trader.
Just have a look at my chart now in TradingView and you will see the difference.
